October 2: Meme!

November 9: So so sad. [regarding my 3% of NaNo-ness]

December 1:So...I've finally gotten around to seeing Enchanted!

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Made an attempt at NaNo. Looked someone in the eye and told them a truth that I knew would be absolutely excruciating but that they needed to hear because it was an extremely negative influence in their life.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Never make 'em, never break 'em.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
A lot of people, actually...

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My grandfather on my father's side. December 28th.

5. What countries did you visit?
Physically? None.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A fucking salaried job would be nice. And maybe we'll turn that into a job that's not in the restaurant industry. I'd like to be able to plan a trip and not have to worry about whether or not my job will be there when I get back. O_O Or, you know...the ability to NOT spend my money when I get it.

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 3rd. The night the cops came and we got rooooolled. Great party.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Uhhh. I'm a slight underachiever... But! I did get myself a life...sort of...

9. What was your biggest failure?
Letting my superiors step all over me as I volunteered to wait for a management position until after the holidays. Don't ever let it happen to you.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Only stupidity and a sprain to my self esteem.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Crack for my kitties! Loads of entertainment there. Yes, I have no life. And an overpriced tiara! =)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Ummm...

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ummm...

14.Where did most of your money go?
Rent. Bills. More bills. Rent. Oh yeah, did I mention bills? And then the DVDs...

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Enchanted. Yeah. And the tiara that resulted from the Enchanted extravaganza. Oh yeah.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Enchanted sountrack!! I've had falling in love on the brain ever since...sort of...

17. Compared to this time last year, you are:
a) happier or sadder?
perhpas not happier...but definitely a little more content...
b) thinner or fatter?
fatter! must start working out...
c) richer or poorer?
far richer, not necessarily in the financial sense, but definitely richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Whatever I wanted. I often hold back for other people, or because it really just doesn't make sense to do it at the time, even if I had the money or the desire to do it

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Work, even though work = money

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it at my parent's house, as we've done for the past 24 years of my life, save two...the one before I was adopted, and the one when I was living with the now ex...

And POOF! Question 21 has been disappeareded. So sorry.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Crazily...I did...

23. How many one-night stands?
None. I'm what some might refer to as a 2nd time virgin...

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Ummm...

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
classical music! I've finally started listening to it!

friends, and a life, and a house! renting a house is so much better than an apartment! Next step, owning a house! =P

Definitely Enchanted...Transformers runs a close second... National Treasure: Book of Secrets as a third, I think... There are just so many!

I worked. I turned 24. Whee.

hrm...

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Politics never stirs me.

Not many to miss.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

That I need to relax or I'm going to miss too much of my own life.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Not possible. My year was too oddly erratic to be able to sum up in one lyric.

100 Things Meme
1) My name isn't really Lita, but more than 70% of my friends refer to me as such.
2) My family is white, and most people don't make the connection that I'm adopted when they meet us. It's really kind of funny.
3) My favourite music at this point in my life is Celtic music of any kind, mainly bagpipes and uillean(sp?) pipes, but anything will do, really.
4) I enjoy snack foods a bit too much, specifically anything cheesy (goldfish and cheez-its!), chips and salsa, or pretzels
5) In my weigh loss goals of the past, my one main goal was to cut back on the soda. It began as a new year's resolution (my first ever) in 2005 and lasted about five months.
6) I'm a self-diagnosed neurological crazy. I'm convinced that I suffer from OCD, ADHD, B-PD, chronic memory loss, and am in the beginning stages of dementia. In reality, I'm probably only really suffering from one major neurological disorder: paranoia.
7) I was born into the Christian religion. I never began to think that other faiths were possible for me until I read The Chronicles of Narnia, specifically The Last Battle. Somewhat ironic, no?
8) I love mythology, specifically Greek Mythology, but don't really spend enough time studying it as I should.

14) Friday the 13th is my lucky day, and 13 is my lucky number. After my adoption, the day I flew over and met my parents was Friday, the 13th of April, 1984. My parents consider it a second birthday of sorts, and we celebrate it every year in addition to my actual birthdate.

58) I love everything Nintendo. Except the Nintendo 64, which no one liked. I also have a slight dislike for the Wii for some odd reason.
