Meme! It's the interests meme from three people, so I put it behind a cut so as not to go all crazy like on the f-lists...
Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

abf: The Amazing Bouncing Ferret! Who wouldn't like the bouncing ball of fluff? =P It's totally awesome. =) And ferrets in general are awesome.
childrens books: my interest in literature is mostly for children's books. The enjoyment of a book for a child is important, and I find it fascinating that books that are made to be so simple for a young mind can be so enthralling to them. I'm also rather fond of teenage book series, so sad am I.
christopher ralph: probably the ONLY actor I've ever had a crush on. Like, real crush. I first found him via the "Animorphs" television series, which was based on the, you guessed it, children's book series. He's not a well-known actor, and I actually don't think he does any other televisions/movie work. From what I've found, he was more of a stage actor, and in Canada no less, so I'm at a loss for finding any more of his work. =( In roleplay, he is the face of my Eddie Carmichael.
daughters of the moon: a book series for teens. It's actually not the best writing, as most of what I read isn't, but the idea behind it is slightly fascinating, so it has become my current book interest. In it's simplest explanation, it's a good vs. evil story, girls with special powers, forbidden love, and self-search for the darkness within. *shrug* I like it.
frank peretti: by far my favourite author. Perhaps it's my childhood upbringing in the christian religion, but Peretti is a Christian author and I rather enjoy his works. I've seen his books categorised as "christian science fiction", which is an oddity in itself, but again with the good vs. evil. I guess I tend to like those plotlines the most, and as with most religious authors that's the plot they use the most because, well...that's what the religion is based on.
fun stemware: *stands* Hi, my name is Lita, and I'm an alcoholic. =P Drinking is fun, but it's so much more fun when you've got funky glasses and fun stemware to drink it from!
trying to dance: give me choreography and I can make a decent attempt at it, but dancing in general? So not. I can dance on my own and I've been told I'm not half bad. My main problem is partner dancing, as I can't seem to follow someone to save my life. =( It's a sad sad thing.
a_leprechaun requested explanations for the following:
beaded curtains: FUN! Hang them on walls, in doorways, wherever you want! Beaded curtains are entertaining, and as long as you don't buy a cheap wooden-bead curtain, they can last! They make fun sounds, and they're great play toys for the cats when they're high. =P
cats cats cats: they are the loves of my life. If you know me from an Eddie Carmichael point of view, have you noticed Eddie's affinity for the feline? Yeah...that's directly from me.
frank paretti: See above. =)
mume: Multi-Users of Middle Earth. It's a text-based roleplaying game, more information can be found here. It's less role play now than it used to be. Now it's a lot of PK and idiots spamming the communication channels, but if you can find that small group of people who play the game for what it is, it's kind of fun.
pure imagination: Has been and will always be my favourite song. "Pure Imagination" from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Yes, that's Willie Wonka and not Charlie. WW is the 1970's version, musical to boot. The simple melody of the song, the chords themselves, the idea of being able to imagine anything...it's absolutely fantastic.
trying to dance: See above. =)

beaded curtains: See above =)
daughters of the moon: See above =)
fun stemware: See above =)
glass art: glass is amazing. Glass in any shape, which is probably why I include stemware among my interests. Just think...glass is sand. All that annoying stuff from the beach could be turned into beautiful works of art. If you've seen the movie Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon, that's only the beginning of what can be done with sand/glass. If I ever go back to Disneyland anytime soon, their glass shop has this AMAZING glass miniature of Cinderella's castle. It's about two feet tall, and it's all kinds of shiny and absolutely gorgeous. I wants it. Eventually, I'll waste the money to buy it, I suppose. Part of the reason I don't want kids. Once I have my own home, it'll be covered in glass art. Cats make it difficult, but kids? Hell naw. I also enjoy looking at stained glass.
those old kids shows: Saved by the Bell being the most well-known. There's also Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, California Dreaming...so many. Cartoons too! He-man, My Little Pony, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears (yes, there was a cartoon), Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers! So many so many...I could keep listing them...but there's something so different about cartoons and shows now that aren't as...compelling as shows used to be. I miss them. =(
tng: Star Trek: The Next Generation. One of, if not THE, best of the Star Trek series. I just bought the first season and it's so FUNNY going back and seeing how much the "technology" has improved over the years. Set design and costuming for the show was simply entertaining. And besides, Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard? OMG. So fabulous. And before you ask, no I'm not a trekkie. But I do enjoy it ever so much. My second favourite of the ST world is Voyager.
