So. I didn't make it past the first round of American Idol auditions. Not that I expected to, I just did it for the hell of it. =)

But it made me realise something. A couple of things, actually.

1) I have a much more musical theatre sound than I do a pop sound.
2) I need PRACTISE and lots of it.
3) I have a much better sense of where I want to take my life. I want it to revolve more around musical theatre--an idea that I was harbouring during high school but that I've come to believe is more my calling now--and that I want to start getting into that stuff NOW.

So yes. American Idol, thank you for helping me figure this out.

Sorry it took so long to reply! Kinda forgot people commented here... =(

But as for the auditions...they kinda sucked. They told us to get there at 5 freakin' am. Luckily, my roomie and I slept in, so we didn't get there til 7am...but still. We had to sit under the freakin' hot sun until our seat numbers were called...sometime around 2:30-3pm. We were sitting there with absolutely nothing to do for eight freakin' hours. And the concession lines were like...hours long. And it wasn't even because of the amount of people who showed up, it was the idiotic people working the stands.

But it was an experience, and those are always good, I suppose. =)
