Seeing as how LJ isn't letting me post pics I'll just do a fully texted play by play of which wand chose me and how I was sorted...
First wand question asked height of which I am shorter than average, second was eye colour and mine is dark brown/borderline black and third was whether my birth day was odd or even...March 7 says odd. Does anyone else find it odd that that question says day and not date when clearly it refers to numbers and not days? *sigh* I'm lashing out because of my house sorting...forgive me. Fourth, fifth and sixth questions were regarding pride, a crossroads, and fear... I chose pride in resilience (as opposed to determination, imagination, intelligence, originality, optimism, and kindness), took the road to the ocean (rather than the forest or the castle), and feared heights (other choices including fire, darkness, small spaces, and isolation). Question 7 was to choose an artefact of which I chose the silver dagger, leaving behind the mirror, jewel, scroll, bottle, glove and key.
These answers resulted in a supple, 12 3/4" wand made of Larch, with a dragon heart string core. I'd never even heard of Larch before now... O_O And I thought shorter people = short wands? Guess not... I do like the Larch description though. I'm not too put off by my wand at all, actually.
Dragon
As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.
The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental.
Larch
Strong, durable and warm in colour, larch has long been valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for instilling courage and confidence in the user has ensured that demand has always outstripped supply. This much sought-after wand is, however, hard to please in the matter of ideal owners, and trickier to handle than many imagine. I find that it always creates wands of hidden talents and unexpected effects, which likewise describes the master who deserves it. It is often the case that the witch or wizard who belongs to the larch wand may never realise the full extent of their considerable talents until paired with it, but that they will then make an exceptional match.

And for the House Sorting... this is where things... *sigh*
Q1) When I die, I want people to: Miss me and Smile.
Q2) The Flutterby bush would lure me with a scent of: The Sea.
Q3) The most difficult thing to deal with is: Hunger. ((Yeah...it made the most sense to me...))
Q4) Any power and I choose: Invisibility. ((Anyone who knows me would be able to answer that one...))
Q5) The road that tempts me: Wide, sunny, grassy lane.
Q6) Dawn or Dusk? Dusk
Q7) Left or Right? Left...
And I'm sorted where???
Slytherin
I'll skip the House welcome letter because most of you have seen it before anyway...
I can't say I'm not disappointed. If I had a choice Slytherin would be my last... I see no negative aspect of being a part of Slytherin I just never saw myself as having Slytherin dominant qualities. It surprised the hell out of me to be quite honest.
So far, in the three and a half hours it took me to get thus far, I've achieved one point for my house, destroyed one potion attempt, and found some odds and ends that I have yet to discover their purpose. I continuously get the "Unavailable" page and it's frustrating but... bleeeeeeeeh. We'll see how things develop. I'm concerned over what will happen when Pottermore opens to the public in the near future. I may never be able to access the pages again. =(
