Notes: Butchered the prompt...though it doesn't matter cuz it's not getting posted...
Ron knew that he was good at chess. He knew that he was better at it than Harry, and that even Hermione had a hard time the few times she had beaten him. But when it came down to it, Ron was king of the chessboard.
"No," he said one evening after beating Harry for the third time in a row, "I...am a Chess...GOD," he exclaimed loudly, his hands held in tight fists over his head as he stood with a proud smile on his face.
But underneath the proud façade, he was still just a scared little boy.
