Random thought: I feel LJ has made a good move in that journals and communities can be marked explicit and whatnot. Mayhaps things are looking up...

I'm not a fan. I can't read yours from my friends page anymore because they're all behind 'kids, don't look at the pr0n in this entry' cuts!

well...all it takes is a click of the cut, right? It's not that terrible. LJ could be doing a lot worse.

There should be a way to turn it off. I'm not a minor, I'm not likely to be offended by "adult" material, and I'm allergic to censorship. "Think of the children!" indeed.

My point is that before LJ implemented this filter thing, I didn't have to do anything special to read my friends' posts. Now I do, and it's not a feature I care for to begin with. What problem is it supposed to be solving, anyway?
