Ron was thrown into a world of confusion the night Harry left. He was having a hard time dealing with it, dealing with what Harry had left to do. It had become an oddly comforting ritual, but once again Ron turned to the thin journal that Hermione had bought for him and he began to write.

You've left us alone when you went out on your "secret missions". You've kept secrets from us and you've lied to us. You've even fought with us and argued with us. You always said it was to protect us. You always tried to keep us safe, to do what was right for everyone else. You thought that by keeping us in the dark that it would be safer for us. But you told us anyway. You told us why you had gone on all those missions. You told us what Dumbledore had told you and you told us why you wanted to keep all those things secret.

We didn't understand at first. We sort of still don't. But we trust you. And besides, tonight is the perfect night for Voldemort to die.
