I saw a Christmas tree dance the other day
It's green limbs dipping with every sway
It turned and twisted, leaping ever so lightly
It was a sight to see: magnificent
They wrapped it softly
Held it high
Aloft, it danced in starlit sky
And finally, they brought it home
An early Christmas present
They unwrapped it quickly
And it danced again
Stretching its limbs as they carried it
Again, aloft, like a dancer
Being carried by a partner
And then they dressed it
With beads and sparkles
And every shiny thing
When I looked again
The Christmas tree was bowing
Gracefully
In its new outfit
And then they turned off the lamp
And turned on the lights
Which shimmered and sparkled and blinked every which way
And as I watched
The Christmas Tree danced once again that day
It's green limbs dipping with every sway
It turned and twisted, leaping ever so lightly
It was a sight to see: magnificent
They wrapped it softly
Held it high
Aloft, it danced in starlit sky
And finally, they brought it home
An early Christmas present
They unwrapped it quickly
And it danced again
Stretching its limbs as they carried it
Again, aloft, like a dancer
Being carried by a partner
And then they dressed it
With beads and sparkles
And every shiny thing
When I looked again
The Christmas tree was bowing
Gracefully
In its new outfit
And then they turned off the lamp
And turned on the lights

The Christmas Tree danced once again that day
